The Ministry of Entrepreneur Development (MED) was re-established on 2 July 2018 with the objectives of creating a holistic and conducive entrepreneurial ecosystem to support a balanced and sustainable economic development agenda. MED also aims to enhance the capabilities of local entrepreneurs, as well as micro, small and medium enterprises in turning Malaysia into a striving entrepreneurial nation by 2030. On 21 August 2019, MED was given the mandate to establish and lead the Industry Development Committee of Halal Industry in Malaysia under the Halal Industry Development Council (HIDC). Under this new role, MED is committed to enhance the Malaysia halal ecosystem and to create business opportunities in halal industry globally. MED is optimist that Japan will be the gateway to halal market, become one of the key players in promoting Halal in the East. |
